Flights to Cuba

Take Me Away Cuba books your international flight to Cuba from Miami (or JFK, Tampa, Key West) using a licensed charter company authorized to provide U.S. citizens with legal flights direct to Cuba. The flight from Miami to Havana takes 1 hour. The planes are typically Boeing 737 jets holding 140 – 160 passengers.  We offer 1st class seats for our clients on flights from Miami to Havana.

People-To-People Travel to Cuba

We create a private experience for you and your group based on your particular interests and tour under the people-to-people general license issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's, Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC). This license allows any American who organizes a trip with Take Me Away Cuba to do so legally.

*Baggage fees of $20 for checked bags are levied by the charter company at the time of check-in and are charged by the pound and payable in cash only. 

** The Cuban airport departure tax of $25 must be paid at your US departure city in cash.

Health Requirements and Medical Insurance

You must be in good physical health to visit Cuba. There is a fair amount of walking, most all buildings have stairs and staircases including hotels and museums alike, and you must be agile enough to get in and out of aircraft. If you are under a doctor’s care, please inform him or her that you are traveling to Cuba. If you are on medication, you must bring it with you in your carry-on bag. If stairs or walking presents a problem to you, please let us know in advance so that special arrangements, if possible, can be arranged for your comfort.

All travelers to Cuba must have medical insurance. Each passenger traveling to Cuba with Take Me Away Cuba is covered by Assistur Insurance Company while in Cuba 24hrs/7 days a week. The cost is included in the air fare. Take Me Away Cuba prepares the required form for you which is stamped by the Charter Airline at check-in and is included in your travel packet. Any passengers asked about insurance can show proof if requested.
